 About Us
The artistic expressions conveyed
through Nancy Swearingen’s numerous talents are extraordinary. Her
drawings and paintings capture what words can only begin to express.
Swearingen Visions is relatively new to downtown Northville, but
Nancy’s love of the visual began as a child. The artistry that
Nancy brings to Swearingen Visions is matched by Mary Starring’s
business acumen. Beth Ott, as Mary is known to family and friends,
is married to Steve Ott, City of Northville Fire Department Lieutenant.
As a longtime Northville resident, Mary’s dream of having a retail space
in downtown Northville is realized in Swearingen Visions.
Thirty years in corporate management set the stage for Mary’s vision.
Mary is also secretary of Northville’s Central Business Association.
 Community Involvement
Swearingen Visions is part
of the greater Northville community in many ways including participation
in Northville’s First Friday
Art Walk. Each month the exhibit at the gallery changes offering a
different perspective of the beautiful world around us or an exploration
of “inner vision”. Come see what the next show is about.
Swearingen Visions occasionally features selected artists during the
year. Most recently they were host to a portion of the
Northville Students Fine Art Exhibit.
The Gallery and Boutique Description
An array of services is provided
from this exceptional, yet comfortable showroom. Enjoy the
beautiful modern interior paying close attention to the acid-etched
concrete floor designed by Nancy. The glass tile entryway,
designed and manufactured by Swearingen Visions, welcomes you
into one of Northville’s newest galleries. Mary and Nancy
carefully select items from design artists around the world, which are
distinctly cosmopolitan and hold a modern sensibility. Unique
personal and home accessories range from one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry
in sterling and gemstones to Celadon pottery and exquisite glass vases
beautifully designed and crafted by skilled artisans. Wrap
yourself in a shawl from Paris, get organized with totes, backpacks and
purses by Baggallini, and comfort children with incredibly soft and
cuddly blankets and stuffed toys by Moncalin. If you are seeking
something decidedly interesting and unique you must visit Swearingen
Visions.

Design Services Available
Glass tile masterpieces, crafted
either for flooring or wall murals, are custom designed, manufactured,
and installed in your home or business setting yourself apart from the
ordinary. Long Bath
Remodeling and Swearingen’s have developed a partnership
insuring quality installation of the glass tiles. If you prefer to
tackle the installation yourself, how-to information can be provided.
Wall Décor is Swearingen Visions’
main focus, one of the main expressions of Nancy’s creativity, the first
product of Swearingen Visions. The art runs a full range of
subjects from realistic photographic images to abstract art created by
Nancy and her husband John. Available as giclee prints on canvas
or various fine art papers, original pieces of art may also be
available. Please ask about its availability.

“Try and See” Our Rent to Own Service
Sometimes you wonder if a piece
of art will fit your surroundings, either your home or your place of
business. Swearingen Visions invites you to live with your
selection and grow accustomed to it through a rental process.
Rentals are available for a minimum of three months with the option to
return it, rent it for an additional three months, or apply the rental
fee up to that point to the purchase of the artwork.

Fine Art
Printing Service
Swearingen Visions is
also a Fine Art limited edition printer. They use the Giclee
process for their own work and the work of other artists and
photographers. Printing is available both on canvas and on a
variety of beautiful artist papers. Visions has a very high
standard of digitally reproducing original images that you create.
This is “on demand” printing for a single image or many images as
custom fine art prints. |
Other Affiliations
Swearingen Visions is an
American
Society of Interior Designers Industry partner. As such, they
serve as a resource for the interior design community consulting with,
designing, and providing wall décor, murals, and glass tile floors for
their clients.
Swearingen Portraits will be the
focus of the September Business of the Month.
