Welcome to Northville...Downtown!

Town Square Gets Ready for Spring
Now that the warmer weather is here, Downtown Northville’s new Town Square is making final springtime preparations that will ensure visitors can enjoy a moment in the sun. Whether they kick back with a carry-out meal from one of the many area restaurants on their lunch break, take a breather from shopping or enjoy one of the many events scheduled for the spring and summer, including Tunes on Tuesdays Children’s Concerts and Friday Night Concerts, Town Square will be a welcome gathering spot.

To create an inviting outdoor ambiance, Town Square features café-style table and chairs. Brightly colored 10’ square crimson red and beige umbrellas will arrive soon. Guests will be surrounded by vibrant color as annuals adorn new planters lining Main Street and the fountain is once again be flowing. The wall along Helen’s Café will be flanked by a beautiful trellis and Tivoli lights will drape overhead and twinkle in the evenings.

For those who want to get a breath of fresh air but still have some e-mail to catch up on, wireless internet service will also be installed in Town Square.

Downtown Northville continues to nurture a thriving retail district of specialty shops, restaurants, and professional offices.  The city’s residential area is made up of attractive, tree-lined neighborhoods featuring many historic homes.

Northville residents are proud of their city’s rich heritage, and that pride is seen in the care that city officials, merchants, and property owners have taken to preserve the city’s historic downtown.  Brick pavers glow at night under old-fashioned streetlamps and many of the town’s buildings have been restored to their original Victorian splendor.
