Downtown Northville:
Timeless...With A Twist

Downtown Northville has announced a new marketing campaign initiative – “timeless...with a twist” – to promote the unique downtown. The campaign’s tag line captures the essence of the town’s rich history, its charming atmosphere and its continuous progression forward. A ribbon cutting event celebrating the new campaign is planned for October 20, 2007.

Established in the early 1800s Northville came of age during the Victorian period and the community retains the timeless flavor of that period today. Located in western Wayne County, Northville has everything that embodies true downtown living – shopping, dining, and entertainment.

While historic homes, architecture and town favorites such as the Marquis Theatre, Mill Race Historical Village, Genitti’s Hole in the Wall and Edwards Café & Caterer echo nostalgia, new developments and attractions add a twist to downtown Northville making it even more attractive to residents and visitors. Within the past year, the town has welcomed the Northville Square complex – located in the heart of downtown – which has already been transformed into one of the hippest places to shop, dine and work. The community’s continuous commitment to the arts will continue when the Tipping Point Theatre opens its doors this fall. The much-anticipated unveiling of the Town Square – slated to be unveiled in the early fall – will further enhance the town’s charming landscape as it provides a spectacular state-of-the-art outdoor gathering place for the community and visitors to come together.

With a full year-round schedule of events, there’s always something happening and something for everyone in Downtown Northville. The Victorian Festival, Hometown Holidays, Farmers’ Market and Art in the Sun are popular annual favorites while the Fire and Ice event, monthly First Friday Art and Fashion Walks, Tunes on Tuesdays Kids Concerts and the Friday Night Summer Concert series have created a successful and welcomed niche for the town and are much-anticipated by attendees.
